Oops, I wanted to include this information in my post yesterday so I could put all my health information in the monthly post, but I was in a rush (it’s Wednesday and I’m going to meet my mom and sister bonus for lunch), and I completely forgot to include it. Anyway, if you missed my April health/weight loss/2024 resolution update, you can find it here.
But with all the sugar, weight loss, and healthy progress, I started using the absolute best anti-aging, anti-wrinkle product I’ve ever used, and I just had to pass this information on. . I know I’m not a lifestyle/wellness blog and I never intended to turn this blog into one. But I also know how much we women spend on creams, potions, pills, collagen powders, etc. in an attempt to turn back time (especially when time marches across our faces and leaves its boot prints as evidence). 😀), so I didn’t want to forget to give it to you.
Let me back up a bit. Earlier this year, I was very frustrated with my skin and specifically the skin on my face, neck and chest. I mean, I know I turned 50 last June, but it’s like I’m starting to accumulate a year’s worth of old age every month. I was beyond disheartened by the increased appearance of wrinkles on my forehead, wrinkled skin under my eyes, etc.
I buy every cream and potion that any influencer on Instagram tells me I need, and most of them work immediately to plump up my skin and reduce the appearance of thin, wrinkled, wrinkled skin, none of which have lasting effects. . It lasted for more than two hours.
Let me show you what I’m talking about. And just a warning, you’re going to see more close-up pictures of my face without makeup than you ever wanted to see. 😀 But I will start early this year. It was me on January 28 this year.
Since then I’ve lost 25.5 pounds so my face is definitely puffier than it is now. But I’m not talking about a puffy face. Dry, wrinkled, wrinkled skin under my eyes let me down. And I am, and always have been, someone who piles moisturizer on my face because my skin is always so dry. Since I love natural products, I always use coconut oil as my moisturizer. But when I started noticing this dry, wrinkled skin under my eyes earlier this year, I also started buying products specifically marketed for use on that skin under my eyes. But nothing I tried showed lasting effects.
Here’s a close-up from the image above. Even though I moisturize constantly, my skin always looks dry. And my goodness, the under eye area really let me down.
And people don’t think it’s just a bad picture or bad lighting or one time I’m really tired, other times I’ll show you more pictures taken in different lighting. Here’s another photo from January 31st. Again with the eyes. Oops.
I was so glad I wore glasses, because at least it covered up the wrinkles, but even then, it didn’t hide what was going on under my eyes. Even with my glasses on, my eyes always look very tired and old.
Despite the glare on my glasses (because I forgot to order them with a non-glare coating), this is not camouflaged.
I started using two different products pretty religiously at the beginning of the year. (Actually, one of them I started last summer after being influenced by an influencer. 😀 ) Here is the “progress” after using one of them for months and the other for about a month. I took this picture when Matt was in the hospital in early February. I was hoping to see more progress after adding that second product, so this picture really disappointed me.
Here’s a close-up of my eyes from the picture above. I don’t really notice any difference from using those products.
So at some point after Matt got out of the hospital, my face started breaking out from the corners of my mouth and my neck started getting red and itchy. So with all the issues I deal with, from dry, wrinkled, wrinkled skin to breakouts to itchy red spots on my neck, I throw everything I can think of from coconut oil and tallow on my skin. . For dry, wrinkled skin, Benadryl cream for the itch on my neck and all the creams I bought.
When none of that really worked, I finally asked myself, “What haven’t I tried yet?“I searched through my cabinets, and I found one thing I hadn’t tried…CAster oil.
After I started following a lymphatic specialist on Instagram I bought castor oil and castor oil pack. She recommends castor oil packs for all sorts of things and I use mine on my liver every night. And I’ve read quite a bit about the wonders of castor oil (if you haven’t checked it out, I highly recommend it), and I know it’s useful for a wide range of issues, which I’m not sure about putting on my face and neck. But I decided to try anyway. It’s quite thick, so I wouldn’t try putting it on my face as a daily moisturizer before putting on make-up to go out. But I started using it at night before bed. Every night after I prepare my castor oil pack and put it on, I put some castor oil on my fingers and rub it all over my face and neck.
Wow, I couldn’t believe the change! I see very noticeable differences in my skin in less than two weeks. The picture above of me was taken on February 6th while Matt was in the hospital. The picture below was taken on February 22nd.
I know I sound scary. 😀 I was working in the studio and taking a sonic break in the afternoon, so my hair was a mess. But this is my face after less than two weeks of using castor oil on my face every night before bed.
Here’s a close-up from the photo above.
Here is another picture from a few weeks later. It is the 2nd of March.
Here’s another close up…
And since 45 minutes after I woke up this morning, May 2nd is here.
And another close up…
I mean…YOU!!! I’ve bought a lot of products over the past year to help my skin. And the thing that gave me the most remarkable results was castor oil! Not only is it the most moisturizing thing I’ve ever put on my face and neck, it cleared up the red itchy patches and did amazing things for the skin on my neck and chest, which was also starting to look crappy. . and wrinkles. But unfortunately, I don’t take progress pictures of my skin in those areas. My eyes make me very self-conscious, so I keep track with progress pictures.
I know all you can do is take my work for it (not just my word that these results are from castor oil, but also my word that I didn’t get any of the above photos back), and people are generally very skeptical of this skin care, anti-wrinkle, anti-aging product. Related claims, but I’m not here to sell you anything. I mean, I will give you the link of the exact castor oil that I useAnd this is an affiliate link.
But my results have nothing to do with the brand of castor oil I use. You want to make sure it’s organic, cold-pressed, hexane-free, and comes in a glass bottle. (Don’t use castor oil from a plastic bottle!!) So I am not married to a particular brand of castor oil. I want to share this information so that others can know the miracle of castor oil. I use any brand that meets those specifications. But I promise you that I will use castor oil on my face every single night for the rest of my life, and I will never bother buying another expensive anti-aging miracle cream from another influencer or sparkly Instagram ad.
I can’t get over this…
